Ingredients
- 10.0416666666667 cup milk
- .330.01375 cup shortening
- .50.0208333333333 cup sugar
- .50.0208333333333 cup light corn syrup
- 10.0416666666667 tbsp yeast
- .330.01375 cup water
- 10.0416666666667 tsp salt
- .50.0208333333333 cup mashed potatoes
- .330.01375 cup potato water
- 60.25 cups flour
- 10.0416666666667 egg
Glaze:
- 40.166666666667 cups powdered sugar
- .750.03125 cups hot water
- Pinch of salt
- 10.0416666666667 tsp vanilla
Steps
- Scald milk then add shortening, sugar, syrup and salt. When cool, add yeast dissolved in water.
- Add beaten eggs and potatoes and potato water. Beat in flour a little at a time. Let rise.
- Knead down. Let rise again and roll out to 1/2" thick and cut into doughnuts.
- Place on lightly floured pan and let rise again then deep fry in hot oil.
- Glaze while hot. (Could also roll in cinnamon sugar or orange glaze).
