Ingredients
- .50.5 cup butter
- .50.5 cup buttermilk
- .750.75 cup sugar
- 11 tsp vanilla
- .50.5 tsp baking soda
Steps
- Combine butter, buttermilk, sugar and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and baking soda.
- Makes one pint.
- Janette Johnson: I use milk that has been soured with 1 tbsp vinegar per cup of milk used because I can't get buttermilk in Mexico!
